Today's mail contained this,

I recently joined the International Union of Mail-Artists ( http://iuoma-network.ning.com/ ). I havent really gotten the hang out if yet so I just made an account and left it like that. I am assuming the piece of mail I got today was from someone on the site. Does anyone here use the site? I need help getting started and it looks really intimidating lol

Summer vacation has come to an end which means my snail mail adventures will have to take a back seat for a while. I still plan on swapping and writing but not as much or none at all depending on how much work I will have. Although this semester seems like it wont be as hectic as the last. I will be taking Archeology, Art History (prehistoric - gothic), 3D Design and Drawing so it  should all be fun.

I received my first set of friendship books from a pen pal of mine the other day. They look so cool, I really want to make my own one day. I noticed some of the entries in them say ICR, what does that mean? My pen pal provided a list of FB "lingo" but didnt mention what that was.

Last night was the Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory movie showing at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. It was a really nice way to end the summer.

Waiting in line. Everyone was getting drunk...we know now what to bring next time.
It came out blurry:(
Caught tons of orbs which wasnt suprising given that we were in a cemetery thats over 100 years old.
We had good seats, it got packed really fast but we were right in the center so we got to see it clearly. The People in front of us passed out halfway through the movie so they didnt block us. Some girls next to us were making smores! We thought that was rude of them, their lights & candles were really distracting but whatever.

Overall it was an amazing night. We plan on going again for El Dia De Los Muertos in November.

I am on my last week of summer vacations and I have done absolutely nothing these past few weeks. No swaps, no letters or postcards. I did receive a couple of letters from some of you though so I will be replying to soon!

I noticed a lot of Halloween swaps starting to come up on swap-bot. I LOVE Halloween for so many reasons and I cant wait to get started on them..ahh!

I've continued with my stenciling but I have run out of spray paint so I have nothing to show for it. I also finished my hookah last weekend. I cut out some flower designs from scrapbook paper found at Target ($.99 for about 7 sheets) and pasted/sealed it with mod podge). I am very happy with how it came out :)

I also wanted to share my new latest awesome cup, kitty  musical notes!!!

What I have been working on this week:

Transformed an old boring tote into a cute one!

The panda bear came out so good I think but the branches not so much.  Did them on thin paper and I was running out of spray paint so they came out uneven and smudged. I will probably cut these out to use as a stencil instead since they're on cardboard. Anyways, I want to make shirts now!

I decided to join another ATC swap since I really enjoyed the last one and I think I am ready to join the big league of ATC making/swapping.
The swap called for cupcake themed ATCs and these are the two I made,

This weekend Tim and I got in the stencil making mode and we have been making stencils all week. This is the first big one I made and I am currently looking for a tote bag to spray paint it on. I do need to go back and fix it a bit but overall, I love how it came out. I also made tons of small mustache stencils that I havent tried out yet.

Some of Tim's stencils..

I also went on a hunt for a base for another home made hookah and I think I found something that would be great for one. Found it at the thrift store and I seriously thought it was a bong but then Tim confirmed it was a wine pitcher.lol ..I still think it was used as a bong since it had a very distinct smell (that I know very well) when i bought it.

This weekend I went to go pick up my film at Target and I was so excited that all the pictures came out great. Here are some of my favorite ones..
