There's a pile of letters and postcards on my desk in which I never got to. Most are over a year old and I feel really bad for abandoning my penpals like that.
I'll be sending postcards out to all my penpals who I have received a letter or postcard within the last 12 months. Time to get the snail mail ball rolling again.

Hi. It's been a while.
I'm on a mission for positive thinking, creating positive things and striving for happiness. It's taken me half a year to realize that this goal is not easy and there's still days where I rather just sleep all day and not think of anything. Things are getting better though, recently I have found myself having more good days than bad and smiling more...of course my anxiety gets in the way sometimes but it passes.
So since my last post I have met some great people, gone on many adventures, one step closer to finishing school, and found some hope.

I know I haven't updated about mail in a long time but I have been working on it and keeping track of everything. I haven't forgotten about Mail Art 365.
Since my last post, here is most of my outgoing mail...

I haven't been posting a lot but I have been catching up with all my mail (after buying $40 worth of stamps) and attempting to maybe finish 365 Mail Art this year. I am currently in #60.
Here is some of the outgoing mail from the last month;
Last month I was also notified that I was in an art exhibit called "The Unexpected Art in Transit". It was in Florida but still really cool!

Some mail from the last few weeks,
Incoming-
$10 funnel cake from the LA County Fair.
Outgoing-
I think it's going to take me a little while longer to reply to everyone's mail since I am back in school.
So my boyfriend's mother introduced me to this group on facebook called Art Abandonment (http://www.facebook.com/groups/ArtAbandonment/) and we're both working on little things to leave around. It's actually really fun. I am hoping to start abandoning this week.
Here's a couple of random photos off my camera..

Officially one week left until summer is over. This summer was definitely more laid back and I didn't really accomplish a lot but it still felt nice. no regrets.
I really did a lot of snail mail activities though and that was on my summer-to-do-list....wherever that may be.
There's been a lot of mail coming and going this past week though,
Incoming
box of buttons and postcard from Mary. I still haven't gotten over how awesome this was!
Thanks Miki for the package, I love the "Keep Calm and Draw On" card!
I wish I could hug every cat! :( lol
(yes that is a cat ear near the top of the photo)

I can't believe July is over. Summer is almost over! NO!
I don't think I accomplished a lot on my summer to-do list. The whole idea of having a summer to-do list is enough to discourage me to do it.
Anyways, currently I am working on an embroidery and maybe i'll have it done by tonight. As for mail, I think I need to do some organization to get back into the swing of things. I look at my desk and think "ugh, maybe later.."

all the postcards are for a swap-bot swap...

Incoming mail,
Outgoing mail,
So I have aquired a lot of new penpals after starting my snail mail blog on tumblr. I don't know how I am keeping track of everything seeing I am so disorganized. My life goal is to be organized but that will never happened. This is how my desk has looked for the past week...

Outgoing mail..
Some of the envelopes are the ones I made a while ago.
“Feel Good” was actually a fabric card my mother made but she decided she didn’t like so I glued “Feel Good” …I don’t know how I feel about mod podge on fabric though. You can buy her cards here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/85506570/floral-fabric-blank-cards
The flower drawing is a collagraph I made earlier this year, I didn’t let the paper soak for long enough so I decided to go over it with color pencil so the image would show. I am sending it as a postcard (it’s addressed and stamped on the back).
Some of my screen prints, linocuts and collagraphs are for sale here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/ManitasDeGato
